German Bundeswehr Flecktarn

TIME PERIOD: 1988-current (2020)
CONFLICTS: Bosnian War, Kosovo War, Global War on Terrorism, War in Afghanistan
OTHER NAMES: Flecktarn
CAMO: German 5 color dot type camouflage.

NOTES: A somewhat unique uniform with two chest pockets secured by two snaps as well as a small pocket on the left shoulder. The trousers also have a cargo pocket on each thigh closed by two snaps. FACTS: Flecktarn was the standard German army uniform camouflage adopted in 1988. It has influenced many other patterns such as the Japanese Self Defense Forces Jietai camouflage. Other nations such as the Netherlands have tested the pattern in the past but rejected it due to its similarity to the Dot camouflage used by German SS during WWII.
